Dhokaima Cafe offers light snacks at very reasonable prices. The restaurant has a nice garden and a bar – Manny’s Rukhmuni Lounge- under a large walnut tree. Mojito and ‘Liquid Viagra’ are the specialty of the bar.

It is one of the best Cafe’s in whole of Asia, period. I was there for a lunch with a friend of mine who worked at the United Nations and who would not stop talking about how nice, friendly, cozy, beautiful and spacious the place was. I fell in love with the place instantly even before ordering the best salad and pork chops that I have tasted in a long long time. We were seated underneath the biggest walnut trees that I have laid my eyes upon. The place was humming with energy that is uncommon in Kathmandu during lunch time.
I went back the same night for dinner at Dhokaima. The steak and the baked potato; a delicious cocktail called a flying pig!, Dhokaima brownie and cappuccino.
I went back the following day with a laptop and I was welcome to stay in the garden all day sending the emails to my friends about the good time I am having at the cafe.
Well, that’s all folks. See you at the cafe someday.
